Regime that helped UCer remain symptom free for 18 months

This week I read an interesting post by a UCer who visits a Naturopathic Doctor (a practitioner who applies various natural therapies). The Doctor encourages them to stick to a strict regime which covers diet, supplements and exercise. The UCer is keen to use natural remedies to remain in remission and avoid maintenance meds where possible.

So far this regime has ensured that the UCer remains in remission for up to 18 months. Whilst out of remission and off meds the UCer reverts back to a diet where they eat what they want and admits that, if they stuck with the regime, the remission may well last longer than 18 months.

There are meds (mesalazine) being used as part of the regime.
